Hypoluxo Road: Build dual eastbound left turn lanes onto I-95; widen the southbound I-95 off-ramp and make the turn lanes longer; and install barrier walls, curbs, sidewalks, lighting and retaining walls. Timeline: Completed in summer 2017.
Lantana Road: Widen Lantana Road overpass and add a left turn lane from eastbound Lantana to the northbound I-95 on-ramp; extend dual left turn lanes through the southbound I-95 southbound ramps to westbound Lantana; add a lane to eastbound Lantana from the northbound I-95 ramps to 13th Street; add a lane to westbound Lantana from the southbound I-95 ramps to west of Sunset Road; widen the southbound I-95 off-ramp; add a free-flow right-turn lane to the westbound to northbound on-ramp; add an auxiliary lane to the northbound I-95 on-ramp; and widen the northbound I-95 off-ramp. Timeline: Study scheduled to begin in 2018.
Estimated total cost: $29.2 million.
Sixth Avenue South: Alternatives included in this study would add lanes to Sixth Avenue South; reconfigure the I-95 ramps; and add bike lanes. Timeline: Study completed next summer.
10th Avenue North: Widen 10th Avenue North from Barnett Drive to North A Street; add dual eastbound left turn lanes from the northbound I-95 off-ramp; add another lane to the southbound I-95 exit ramp; and add barrier walls, curbs, sidewalks, guardrails and lighting. Timeline: Completed next summer.
Southern Boulevard: Alternatives in this study would build either one or two flyovers at the interchange; add bike lanes; widen the I-95 ramps not affected by the possible flyovers; and possibly shift traffic flow on Southern to the west of the interchange. Timeline: Final design could be ready in 2021, with construction starting in 2024.
