Get a load of these mug shots in Lake Worth

LAKE WORTH — “Mug Shots,” a show about portraits of faces, heads, pets or folks lining up for photos in the criminal justice system,” begins Friday at the Clay Glass Metal Stone Gallery Friday in Lake Worth.

The wall will fill with portraits and the pedestals with sculpture.

A portrait artist will be on hand at Friday’s opening to create sketches of visitors that will be sold for $20 each.

The show is scheduled to run through Aug. 16 at 15 South J Street.

 

 

Time for a party in Lake Worth

LAKE WORTH — Art Studio Cafe‘s first supermodel drag queen Phylhis Johnson will premiere Tuesday night at the “Drag & Draw” show.

The event is scheduled for 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the studio, located at 410 2nd Avenue North.

Participants are being asked to draw or paint Johnson.

There will be prizes and music. Cost is $15.

Lake Worth intersections to temporarily close starting tomorrow

All Aboard FloridaLAKE WORTH — Three  city intersections will be temporarily closed as All Aboard Florida crews make construction improvements in the area.

Starting tomorrow, 19th Avenue North and the Florida East Coast Railway and 13th Avenue North will be closed from 7 a.m. until Monday at 6 p.m.

 

17th Avenue North will be closed from Tuesday at 7 a.m. until March 11 at 6 p.m.

All Aboard Florida is a passenger rail project that will connect Miami and Orlando.
