When there’s something strange in the neighborhood, who ya gonna call?

southern-live-oakLAKE WORTH — The city’s Tree Board on March 18 is scheduled to remove exotic pest plants from the 17th Avenue North Natural Area.

The board says the plants are crowding out the native understory beneath the southern live oaks, an evergreen tree native to the area.

Volunteers are needed. For information, contact City Arborist David McGrew, 561-586-1677.

The Tree Board is a volunteer advisory board made up of city residents appointed by the mayor and city commissioners. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.
