LAKE WORTH — City Manager Michael Bornstein is scheduled to be evaluated by city commissioners at Tuesday’s meeting.

Bornstein, hired in 2012, will be evaluated in 10 categories, including relations with elected officials, policy execution, professional skills and citizen relations.

He will be rated on a score of one (poor) to five (excellent) in each category. Any item left blank will be interpreted as “average.”

Bornstein’s ┬álast evaluation was in 2013 when he earned high marks for solving problems, boosting employee morale and improving the city’s image.

According to the city, Bornstein earns $145,000 annually with a $500 monthly car allowance.

Previously Bornstein was Town Manager in Lantana.

Lake Worth said Bornstein’s contract doesn’t require that he have an annual evaluation, but Bornstein told the Palm Beach Post last year he doesn’t mind.

“I think it’s a healthy thing to do,” he said.
