LAKE WORTH — The city has placed the following video on its website to help residents better understand the science behind neighborhood roads.

Brent Whitfield, an associate vice president at A.D.A Engineering, the company the city hired to inspect and rate its city roads, explains how potholes are formed and how the A.D.A. rated the roads.

The city has asked residents to vote on a $40 million road repair bond referendum for the upcoming election. If passed, officials say the money will be used to fix and improve city roads.
