Superheroes coming to John Prince Park to help foster kids

superhero-5k-fun-dayLAKE WORTH — Batman, Superman, Thor, The Hulk are coming to save the day!

OK, they’re really coming to John Prince Park, west of Lake Worth, to help raise money for Friends of Foster Children‘s “2016 Superhero 5k and Fun Day” on Oct. 8.

The superhero-themed event is for programs that help more than 1,700 children in Palm Beach County that have been abused and placed in foster care.

Registration and sign-in starts at 6 a.m.

The 5K race and walk starts at 7:30 a.m. Kids dash begins at 7:45 a.m..

Cost is $30.
