LAKE WORTH — Lake Worth Public Library fans, circle Sept. 24th on your calendars.

That’s when the city is scheduled to host an open house event to showcase the library’s unique history and to celebrate its 75th anniversary.

Tours featuring historical artifacts are scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m. at the library, 15 North M Street.

Some of the artifacts on display include paintings by Reginald Sherman Winston, woodcarvings by Samuel J. Schlappich and a bullet that was found on the men’s room floor in 1942.
