‘Why Courts Matter’ series coming to Lake Worth

courtsLAKE WORTH — The Palm Beach County chapters of the League of Women Voters, ACLU and National Council of Jewish Women are hosting a luncheon on “Why Courts Matter” at the Atlantis Country Club, west of Lake Worth.

The second of a three-part lunch and talk series is scheduled for June 15, 11 am. to 1 p.m.

Julie Ebenstein, ACLU staff attorney, will discuss the role the Supreme Court had on voting rights. Linda Guller-Schwartz, state policy advocate for the NCJW, will talk about the important role courts play in society.

Cost is $20 if registered at least 10 days in advance. Fee goes up to $30 for later registration. Register by clicking here.
